Kids Camp

This week Micah is leading worship for Kids Camp for our church. What an amazing place!!! I love our church. Since Micah was out of town last week that knew that two weeks without daddy would be hard (for the kids too!!) and so they asked us to bring our whole family. We were expecting a bunk cabin with no air conditioner, sleeping bags, and lots of kids who were loud into all hours of the night keeping our kiddos awake. Nope. They gave us a great cabin to stay in with some other leaders and a queen bed and two twins. Major plus is that it is on the lake and has great air conditioning. The staff is amazing, our church leaders are incredible, and the kids at kids' camp are like none I've seen in a long time. I don't think my kids are going to want to leave. They have done great (moms a little tired). They go to the services and worship God with the kids and even helped me with prayer walking today and daddy with leading worship. Here's a few highlights:

Rinny "worshiping to God" ...that's her phrase.
Each night after the service there is a theme night. This night (obviously) was Disney night.
As soon as we walked into the party, you can better believe Rinn found every single princess!

Creed swinging on the rope swingsCreed and Mrs. Callie (aka Dopey)
Rinny enjoying the beach (not so fond of the dirty feeling of sand, by the way)

Daddy sliding down the monster slide.

Yep, that is Creed sliding down the monster slide. He did it tons. He is a crazy kid. I was scared out of my mind when I did it and he just pushed me down and said "Go, Mom!"
I love the face he made when he was falling off.
Rinny made a good buddy who carried her around and let her put her feet in the water, Mrs. Becca.

Water Balloon Fight!!!

These kids look like they are up to something (the last three pics are of the only innocent ones at the party:)

Rod wins the award for the most wet parent (he volunteered for filling up the balloons).

We had a great time hanging out with our small group. Rinny even found a bunny she could chase (last pic). So sweet.

Waffles, walks, and waves

Things Mim and Popsicle's house is famous for:

1. Mickey Mouse Waffles
2. Walks where you play "kick anything you find on the street"
3. 100 calorie packs and weight watchers tricks :)
4. Swimming

Will and KK (and their parents) came by to do a little swimming too. Somehow, Creed talked Uncle Paul and Aunt Ang to do a pyramid (well, actually...it was Aunt Ang's idea). Then, we did a little chicken fighting. That was a super hilarious site. It was Uncle Paul and Will versus Creed and Mommy. I about peed in my pants (urr, well the water) I was laughing so hard. Because of the laughter, that put us at a distinct disadvantage (we lost).

To top it all off, Will lost a tooth while he was there (see picture 10 above for proof!) and Creed learned how to jump off the diving board with absolutely NO floaties and no one down in that end of the pool. He is getting to be an amazing swimmer.

Last night the kids and I went to Seussical the Musical. So fun. This is one of my favorite musicals. So colorful and lively. Creed and Rinn both sit through musical theatre so well. They are mesmorized. Rinn gets a little scared sometimes but her defense mechanism is to laugh. She was a little scared of the grinch, so she decided to take her own little stuffed grinch and be it's mommy. That's her new thing. She constantly says "me a good mommy."

Of course, after the show we had to meet the cast. They even got their pic with Yertle the Turtle and Max! Rinn was so funny with Max; she said "You did a good job, Max."

A few verses to get me through the day

Habakkuk 2:3

"For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

Psalm 62:5

"Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him."

Isaiah 30:18

"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry."

Lamentations 3:25

"The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks Him."

Isaiah 64:4

"Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him."

My biggie for this time in our lives is Isaiah 26:8

"We're in no hurry, God. we're content to linger in the path sign-posted with your decisions, who you are, and what you've done are all we'll ever want."

I'm going to have a day of enjoying the kiddos I have in my arms today. Hopefully soon I will have one more to enjoy.

Love you all, thanks for your prayers!

Sleepover and Korea Camp

Weeh....the end of last week is kind of a blur. We had my sis's four kiddos for a few days and a sleepover. Fun times. I love them all a ton and we don't get to usually spend all that time together. I fall in love with them even more when we hang out. I do have to admit I was a little (well, honestly, REALLY) exhausted when they left.

On Saturday we went to Korea camp and what a site! 100's of little Korean kids running around. So sweet. They all look so unique except for the sea of black hair. Creed enjoyed the Korean food, he loves it! Bulgogi is like his favorite food. Rinn, not so much (notice the goldfish). We hope to be able to attend lots of Korean camps in the future to learn all about Korean culture and to let our newest addition (coming soon, we hope) be around lots of other children who have similar backgrounds.

Side note: Notice, I have blogged three days in a row the last 3 days. That is because I am on my computer constantly trying to pass time. Come on referrals!

First family of 5 Painting

Some new decor for our play room. Creed and Rinn painted some canvases. Notice, Creed's painting...our first family painting with 5 people! How sweet.

No news on the adoption front, you'll be the first to know! :)
