A "what's up with us" journal to keep you updated on what in the world is going on in our household. "I would choose you" is a reference to something we tell our children all the time. We tell them; if God would have let us travel all over the world and look and choose any boy or girl in the whole wide world, we would look and look and look and then, you know what? We would choose YOU!

Minus One

Here are two of the cutest sugars in the world at some play time with friends. I've been trying to get things done to make the time to Jude's arrival go quicker. Attempting to mark stuff off the list. Yesterday Creed and I put Jude's bed together and put all the bedding on it (photos to come...it totally rocks). Creed was awesome to help, he really was.
When it gets quiet, or when I take pics of Creed and Rinn I really start to get sad. I have time to think about how Jude deserves to be playing with us, me shooting a bijillion pics of him. Waah...this is totally not fair to us! Then the pitty party sets in. He is still in the hospital and we are awaiting word of his discharge, or some update on his burns and his bronchitis. We got a short report this week that just said he was doing well and that they hoped that he will get discharged next week. We were actually hoping it was this week.
I accosted the postman yesterday as he was walking up to the house. It wasn't even worth it....he had nothing of importance. By "importance" I mean our I 600 approval that gets us one step closer to Jude being home. If he doesn't deliver that pretty soon, the poor mailman is going to see the ugly cry.

Election -08
My kids have the cookie decorating down to an art. We do cookies a lot.

Notice the shirts....look really close at the face on the shirt. Well, we didn't have such a great night. We are so women's lib (ha)
Quick trip to eat a little Korean food to celebrate our new boys (yet to be home). We met up with Kathryn, Dusty, and Cole to eat some delicious Korean food. Creed was in heaven. Rinn made it quite clear (several, several, several) times to our waitress that she would not be eating any Korean food and rather, that we had brought her chicken nuggets from McDonalds (we were SO embarassed). Rinn is in love with Cole. She totally thinks he is a baby, it's awesome (notice the choke hold around the poor little guys neck!)
The kids and I doing our civic duty. It was awesome because when we got there, there was only a very few people. So, we sat down at a table and the kids helped me fill out the ballot. What an experience. I was really trying to instill in them the importance of the day. The next presidential election Creed will be 10,then the next 14, then the next 18...he will vote in that election. He will have just turned 18 two months prior to the election. That's all out craziness.
Seriously, love Rinny's face in this pic.

We're getting there....

I ordered this for the wall above his bed....love the mod owl look (I'm going to be putting it on a cool blue canvas)
So, so, so, so pumped about this new stroller I am going to be getting. I have desperately wanted one for like 4 years but just couldn't bring myself to spend the moolah. Guess what? My friend is wanting to sell her used one for a hue-mun-go discount and I am pumped. This is one cool ride. Guess what else? I think my mom is going to spring for it for my shower gift. That really rocks.
I also ordered the bedding. Feeling better now. All we need is notification that Jude is out of the hospital and healing (we are praying), that we have our I 600 approval (please pray for this) and for EP. This waiting thing is hard, friends.

Love that will last forever....
I snapped this pic on Halloween night as Creed was pushing Jones down the street to go trick or treating at my aunt "sissy's" house. Creed loves Jonesey so much and I just love seeing him be so kind and loving to his sweet little cousin. I can also see what a great big brother Creed is going to be to his little guy, Jude. I can see in the future them playing soccer together, running around, driving momma crazy, and Creed always taking up for his little brother.

New Update on Jude
New update on pooty-poo ( I have no idea why we are calling him this and I am really trying to think of something better...bear with me). A few things we learned are:
*Surgery is not scheduled yet because of his bronchitis (I think you can tell he doesn't feel good by the pics...dark circles under the eyes, etc.) He is being treated for the bronchitis.
*They are thinking that he may have new skin in 3 weeks (which is when they are going to re-evaluate to possibly do surgery, after the bronchitis is better)
*The social worker noticed that while in his dressing he is not showing discomfort or pain
*They state that he will have scars regardless of the skin graft
*His burns are mixed- Third and Second degree
*He wants to "be with his foster mother always...the foster mother stays up through the night every day." She must be exhausted. Please pray for her health and endurance. Also, pray for one of her daughters who is trying to get into college in Korea (this is a really, really big deal and very competitive in Korea). She has a lot going on but the report says that her priority is with Jee Han. Praise the Lord.
*The report says that Jude may be released from the hospital sometime next week. Once he goes home, he will have to have his dressings changed but should continue to heal at home with obvious followups from the physician. They will re-evaluate for skin grafts later.
*They state that "Jee Han loves to play with a ball given to him from his adoptive parents"...how sweet is that? We love this guy.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers for healing for our little love. Also, please pray that we would get some good news on the progress of us getting him home soon. Specifically, we are praying for Emmigration Permission and I 600 approval.
God bless.
