Halloween in December??

LOOK, I hate to make excuses but it's been a little busy around here....so, people out in the blog oh sphere (those of the few faithful who remain)....I give you....a Halloween blog (or maybe two) in December :)

The eldest is dressed up but I am sorry I have not been given clearance to tell you who he is dressed up like...if I did, I'd have to kill you.
The cutest little cat in the hat in the world if I do say so myself...
Bawwk Bawwwkkk
Pinocchio is back there somewhere
Some of my eldest's favorite storybook characters...Frog and Toad
And, another classic tale...
Enjoying S'mores by the fire. It is times like these that Reeser's temper comes out. You mess with this girls chocolate and she will take you out, no kidding. Kinda like her mom, I guess.
This photo shows the kiddos personalities quite well.
Eldest- Looking for something better to do with his time.
Middle- Perfectly posing for the photo Just like I asked
Youngest-Being very silly
Hubs-Just bein' hot like he is.....

Went to Mim's house to Trick or Treat
And, finally, to end the evening....a meeting with the Almighty. (this guy was just a random guy out trick or treating that my husband thought we should ask to pose with our innocent children. See, again, this shows our personalities....the hubby thinks just because someone thinks to dress up like Jesus they must be a good guy and not be out to kidnap my children. I, on the other hand....think this guy must be a weird pedophile and he dressed up like Jesus to attract my innocent children....Who are you more like?)

On the Road Again....

Time for a Camping Trip!!!!

Loaded up and ready to hit the road with bapa
The next morning. I am so glad bapa got these chairs...uber comfy. We had one day it was slightly chilly out in the morning (we were hoping for more) so we took advantage of it and enjoyed warm clothes and hot cocoa.

Ummm....like father like son....woh boy, I have my hands full people.
Team work getting firewood. Or, posing for a picture....one or the other, either way=sweet.
Possibly the best part about camping, the yummy big breakfast.
And finally.....Jee has learned to potty in the potty (more to come on that in the future, I hope..I feel a blog coming on about that). Anyway, he also figured out how to pee pee outside while camping (oh the joys of boyhood). Welp, Jee Jee took it one step further and also found it quite humorous to poop in the great outdoors as well. Nice. Real Nice. This was after the first time he did it (note: photo has been edited to protect the guilty from embarassment in the future...and to protect me from DHS). Apparently, he thought it was very cool to have mommy and daddy laugh so much and pull out the camera that he thought he would make a habit of it...it happened several more times on the trip!!!

Red Headed Tiny Theologian

In the van....Biggie trying to be devil's advocate

C: "Well, if God made everything, did he make like t.v.'s?

Me: "Buddy, well...it's kinda hard for everyone to understand, but yes, God did indeed make everything possible. Without him we wouldn't have anything. It's kind of like, God made man and man knows how to assemble and make t.v.'s" (Aside to the reading audience: Look, ok, I was tired...I know this isn't an amazing explanation of God's power and sovereignty but at the moment it seemed like a decent response :)

(**** Insert about a 15-25 second pause and quiet in the van at this time ....I know, a miracle in and of itself)

Roos: "Mommy, do you remember when Grammy and Grandaddy gave me that money for Valentimes day?"

Me: "Yeah, baby, I remember" (Side note: I know that this has to do with the prior conversation I had with Biggie because that is just how Roos is....she always comes up with wisdom beyond her years and I can just tell it is coming, even though I have no idea where this conversation is going)

R: "Well, remember how I went and took the money to that one place and got a webkinz?"

Me: "Yep, I remember you got Heartlee" (Her webkinz name...I think I may know where this is leading at this point but am a little dumbfounded that my just turned 5 year old is going there)

R: "Well, that's kinda like saying that Grammy and Grandaddy got me Heartlee, and they did."

Uh....Yea, Roos, that's kinda right.
Geez, honestly......she's a little budding spiritual giant :)
(I'm not even biased :):):) )

Wedding Recap

Our Lovely Hosts....
I love them just so so so much. When MJ and I served down in the Houston area we served in student ministry. It was such a lovely time in our lives. The students were our life! They were in and out of our house like it was their own. They were all like little brothers and sisters to me. Ash was totally like a sister to me. MJ and I love her so so much. We thought nobody would ever meet up to the standards we would have for her future husband....and then, Josh came along! We love him so much too and feel like they are honestly just both part of our family. They put up with us for several days in their house and it was just so comfortable. Literally, we felt like we could go get somethin' out of the fridge and hang out in jammies....those are the real, true kind of friends you need in your life. And, all three of my kiddos would have stayed with them when our time was over. We could've loaded up in the car and waved goodbye. I don't think not a one of em' would of shed a tear!
Awwww.....Dana and Cliff.....Love them too!! The beautiful bride and groom. (Side note: Not sure how I came away from their wedding without a single good pic of them! Geez. Stole this one from her blog)

See...told ya....they love him.
The fam
Ree bustin' a move on the dance floor. This sistuh broke it down for the first time. She is usually really shy when it comes to things like this but this night she let it all out.
Be the tiger on the dance floor....become the tiger....roarrrrrrrrrrr

And you expect me to discipline this kid!??!?!?
Biggie always breaks it down on the dance floor, seriously. Find the circle and he is in the middle. The kid has mad skills.
Awww.....Love these girlies!!!!!

Pizza night...what fun things you can do with pizza dough.

All it takes is a blower

To get a smile....
She's such a girl....

Feelin a little patriotic

and playing a little catch-up from the summer photo albums.

I do love our hometown Independence Day Parade. Despite the rain, we had a ball.

Jee's first Independence Day as a U.S. Citizen.

Not sure what was so funny but this photo really shows Biggie's personality. He is pretty much smiling, making jokes non stop.

See the Korean flag in the back? Jee Jee held it up as the international float went by. The Korean flag is always represented in that float. Love that we live in a University town.
circa first of July, 2010 (I know, better late than never, right!??!?)

So, Biggie has been waiting YEARS to lose a tooth. For those of you who do not have kids this old yet, it is a BIG deal. When little cousins who are several years younger than you start losing teeth before your kid.....BIG deal. Jealousy rages, your child turns green with envy, and they start talking about how they are like babies.....wahwahwah. You get the picture.

When Biggie's tooth started getting the slightest bit loose, it was a happy day in our household. He is nearly 8 in the above pics and according to him "Every other almost 8 year old in the whole world has lost a tooth, mom!" His teeth weren't coming out and his others were growing in so, by the magic of dentistry and a little help from some "happy" drugs....we walk away for the dentist's office a much happier boy than when we walked in....and we lost TWO tooth all at the same time. Bonus.
