We Can Praise

The show "We Can Praise" (in which Creed was the star) was this week. Well, you see...Creed is always the star. He is always very, very serious and concerned about his character. The theme of the program was we can all praise God; through the fact that He made everything; colors, shapes, people, things and we can praise Him for everything. I am proud of Creed praising God!
The only time that Creed broke out of his praise mode was at the end of each song to give mom and dad (on the front row, of course) a quick thumbs up.

Happy Anniversary to US!

Happy one month "waiting anniversary" to us. To celebrate being "officially waiting" for our adoption, we decided to head out to the Department of Homeland Security for kicks. No, actually...we went and had our fingerprints taken today. It was really crazy...all electronic (they didn't even use an ink pad!).

One month down and ____ to go!! We are closer than we were a month ago!

Baby Names Update

Okay, I have been hesitant to post these possible names, but I have decided to go against my better judgement and do it. Why? You might ask, would I not want to post? Well, because of two things:

1. You might steal it (so, before going any further you have to agree that you won't steal MY names!!!! :)

2. You may hate a name that I love

That being said, we have ranked these names (well, I like all of them, but Micah has assigned a number 1-5 to each of these names). However, I am not letting you in on the ranking as of yet. So, your input is welcomed. Just give me your favorites, don't bash these, though :)

BFF's

Creed, Rinny, and I had the time of our lives with Emmers, Carys, and Christie at our sleepover. We made homemade pizza that was super yummy, watched movies, talked, prayed, played...had lots of all around fun. These kiddos love each other a ton, and I love all three of those guys immeasurably. I have recently found out how incredibly strong my friend Christie is. I already knew it, but it has become more evident. Through hard times, she has kept faith. She is really and truly an inspiration to me as a ministers wife and mommy. I have recently been thinking a ton about my priorities, my top priorities being God, my hubby, and my children. Sometimes I really struggle with getting those mixed up with other things that I love in my life. Christie is someone that I think really keeps those straightened out. Plus, she is just a lot of FUN!

Baby Names, Anyone?

Okay, so there is this deal about the male gender. They don't like names, any of them. I know this is true about the generalized male populace, because my friends agree. It is SO hard to get Micah to agree to names that I like. So, if any of you have any suggestions, we are up for it.

We like creative, unique names that mean something special, and are cute. Thus,

Creed- A promise, a Covenant (like the noun, a creed)..True for our little guy because of the trouble we had in our pregnancy, it was like God gave us a promise and we made a covenant with Him to raise Creed to the best of our ability, always seeking direction from Him.

Rinn- a joyous song. She totally is that. She brought a happy song into our hearts and still does. As her song (that daddy wrote for her) says "A joyous song that you bring in, with every little grin" She came into the world during a very stressful time in our family, a time that we needed a new song of Joy.

So...hmm, that kinda puts some pressure on for us. I have names that I LOVE and Micah is at least coming around on the girl name. If it's a boy, we are in trouble if that referral comes any time soon.

Things I love....

About Creed:

1. If Creed is awake, there is never a dull moment (seriously, NEVER)
2. How he tries to be funny, and usually is
3. When he says things that convict me
4. When he thinks up "surprises" in his head
5. When he asks if he can sleep with us
6. When he wants to warm his feet up on me
7. When I hear him singing worship songs really, really loud while in church
8. When he hears daddy singing Disney Princess Show tunes and says "Oh No, here we go again!!!"
9. When he puts on shows
10. When he says "Thank you for bringing me here, mommy."
11. When he does something good and says "how many stickers do I get for that?"
12. When he hip hops (he is actually a very talented hip hop dancer, seriously he's got a funky beat)

About Rinny:

1. When she pulls up her sleeve and expects me to scratch, without even asking
2. When she says "Leave me alone."
3. When I hear her pitter patter feet in the morning and she walks into our room and stands by the bed and says "hi mommy"
4.The way she smells, it is really yummy
5. When she says "mommy, you funny"
6. Her voice- it is really the sweetest sound ever heard
7. The things she says (and when she stutters and says "I, I, I", tonight she said "but I just need to sleep with you", she also adds the word "so" to the end of comments she thinks are important..hilarious)
8. When she says "I love you so bad"
9. When she screams "I'm about to pee my pants" and races to the bathroom (this happens about 3 or 4 times a day now)
10. When she hugs me at night and won't let go and says "You trapped"
11. When she is so angry and the meanest thing she can think to say is "you not my son!" (that's her go to phrase when she is really, really angry)
12. When she says "Somebody smells stinky."

Side note: Things I love about my hubby

1. He's funny (hilariously funny). The funniest thing about him being funny is when he thinks he is funny and laughs at himself (usually those are the times that he isn't so funny ha)
2. When he says, and truly means "I just want you to be happy"
3. That he doesn't care if his clothes are ironed and actually prefers if they aren't
4. When he texts me or emails me when he is just in the other room
5. When he says "I always look cute"....even when that means I am in my jammies when he gets home and haven't brushed my teeth ( I know, it's gross)
6. When he leads me in worship(I'm not being biased, he just is the best worship leader that has ever lived, for real:)
7. When he sings harmony to things like "Happy Birthday" and it gets me all off tune...oh, that is just hilarious to him
8. When he gets to talking about something that he is really passionate about
9. How he can totally multi-task when leading in worship, but totally CANNOT multi-task while driving...WATCH OUT!!
10. When I walk in to the living room and hear him singing show tunes...not just plain old show tunes, but Disney Princess Showtunes...umm, he knows EVERY single word, it's sick and hilarious...should I be worried?
11. When he claims he has looked everywhere for something (he says "really, babe, I've looked") and then I walk in to the room and poof, there it is...the first place I look

I will update this post regularly with things that I love about my babies.

How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World

This past week we studied the book How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World. It was a fun, imaginative book. At the end of the week, we went "around the world" to different countries in our house. Rinn helped and dressed up as each character from each country and delivered the food items to Creed. The first stop was the chicken in France...as Creed opened the door Rinn said "BAUKK" and handed him an egg....SO CUTE. Creed loved it. I love his expression in this pic!!!!

He went to Sri Lanka for some cinnamon but had to be careful of the scary lion.

Our first experience making a homemade apple pie from scratch. Umm, yeah..it was fun. Probably the last time too. Too much work, for something that doesn't even have chocolate in it!!!
